		<description><![CDATA[Cisco might be an interesting example of a company that manages to make successful acquisitions on a regular basis - in fact, it&#039;s a major part of their business model. The book &#039;Making the Cisco Connection&#039; talks about their approach to it. And one of the lynch-pin in the success rate seems to be the policy of not firing any acquired employees without the approval of the management of the acquired company. I guess that takes the &#039;us vs. them&#039; out of it for the acquired employees.]]></description>
